Giving Back to Our Community

At San Diego Injury Law Center, our work is about people. That commitment doesn’t stop at the courtroom. We’re proud to support causes that make a real difference in the lives around us.

Shoes for Kids

For a lot of families, a new pair of shoes is out of reach. Kids end up in shoes that are worn through, too small, or falling apart, and that shows up everywhere: at school, on the playground, in how they carry themselves. Shoes for Kids exists to fix that. We get quality new shoes into the hands of children across our community, no strings attached, because something this basic should never be a barrier.

We’re powered by volunteers, local partners, and people who just want to help. Every donation goes straight toward getting more kids the shoes they need.

Our Team in Action

“I am honored to report back that we donated over 6 bags of clothes to the Ladle Fellowship Soup Kitchen in Downtown San Diego. A big thank you to Pricilla and her boyfriend for coming to volunteer with my family and I yesterday. We served approximately 100 homeless residents in downtown yesterday with food, clothing, medical care, haircuts, prayer, and friendship.”

– Managing Attorney, Matthew Majd

Water for Life

Clean water changes everything. Health, school, safety, and the simple dignity of a basic need being met. Water for Life is our companion effort to bring reliable, safe water to communities that go without it. Different mission, same heart: meeting people where they are and covering a need that should never go unmet.

About the Founder

For over two decades, attorney David Achord has built a legal career at San Diego Injury Law Center dedicated to standing up for people who’ve been injured or wronged, work that has helped his clients recover more than $100 million. But for David, the commitment to helping others doesn’t end at the courtroom. He founded Shoes for Kids and Water for Life to carry that same purpose into communities that need it most. Through Shoes for Kids, he’s already helped deliver over 500 pairs of shoes to children in need, and Water for Life is working to bring lasting clean-water filtration systems to villages without reliable access. For David, it comes down to something simple: when you have the ability to improve someone’s quality of life, it’s worth doing.
